In other words, it was in 2002. Raiders fans are betting on the younger Carr having learned from the struggles of his older brother to get this proud franchise back up and running ... wherever its future home is, be it Oakland, Las Vegas, Los Angeles or parts unknown.Whats goodThe much critiqued plan of owner Mark Davis and general manager Reggie McKenzie appears to be coming to fruition, and fans judged this new-and-improved roster a vast upgrade, boosting it 51 spots in the players category (to 48th). All it took was two years of deconstruction and two more building back up. Oakland has finally again become a destination for sought-after free agents like OL Kelechi Osemele, LB Bruce Irvin, CB Sean Smith and FS Reggie Nelson. And McKenzies recent drafts, selecting the likes of Carr, receiver Amari Cooper and defensive end Khalil Mack, have given Oakland a strong, young nucleus around which to build a competitive team -- and give fans hope for the immediate future.Whats badWas it merely karma that on the 50th anniversary of the September day the Oakland Coliseum opened, the Raiders laid a silver and black egg in a deflating loss to the Falcons? The Coliseum is not quite quaint, not yet old enough to be seen as historic and, well, it has severe and well-publicized plumbing issues. In these standings, the Raiders placed second-to-last in sports in having a great stadium (the only team worse? Uh, the As). The narrow concourse areas are exercises in claustrophobia for fans during games and, as the lone remaining facility to still host NFL and major league baseball games, the torn-up grass and baseball dirt infield is not pleasurable for players in either sport in the crossover months of August and September. Football players have to deal with losing traction -- and skin on their elbows and forearms -- on the slippery dirt. Still wondering why the Raiders want (and need) a new stadium?Whats newEveryone knows the denizens of Raider Nation are among the most loyal in all of sports. Theyd have to be, given what theyve endured since getting thumped in Super Bowl XXXVII -- the team has gone a combined 63-145 (.303) since. So its a testament to the fans and front office that fan relations is up 22 spots since last year, thanks in large part to coach Jack Del Rio, in his second season in Oakland, who has changed the culture and is a major reason why the excitement and optimism surrounding the team feels different. And Las Vegas move be damned: The fans have bought in, selling out season tickets and parking passes this season. Thats loyalty.Next: Philadelphia Eagles?| Full rankings Cheap Air Max 270 Australia . Mondays evening slate of NBA action offers up seven games. Which players should you build around and which players should you fade? Our experts have the answers.Todays panel includes ESPN Fantasys Joe Kaiser and Kyle Soppe, plus DFS expert Renee Miller.Players to build aroundJoe Kaiser -- Chris Paul, LA ClippersCP3 is playing like one of the top PGs in the NBA again, coming off a 20-point, 20-assist performance against New Orleans on Saturday, and tonight he has an optimal matchup against Portlands 28th-ranked defense. There are other good options to build around tonight like James Harden and DeMarcus Cousins, but Paul wont cost as much as those guys while still providing a high floor and ceiling.Kyle Soppe -- Clint Capela, Houston RocketsWhat if I told you that there was a cheap big on the board who would allow you to not only stack CP3 and Blake Griffin (assuming active), but to also roster Paul George? Thats what Im looking at tonight by penciling Capela in and spending big just about everywhere else. Is he perfect? No, but he has logged at least 25 minutes in 13 of his last 16 games, and if hes on the court for that long against the Nets, I dont see why he cant achieve value. Brooklyn boasts the third-lowest defensive rebound rate in the NBA, something that should get Capela a couple of easy buckets. The Rockets center isnt a vital part of this offense, but he has taken big steps forward across the his the board sans Dwight Howard, and his efficient ways allow him to overcome an underwhelming usage rate. He is fresh off of a double-double against the Mavericks on Saturday, and if he makes it two in a row, youre off to a phenomenal start.Renee Miller -- Paul George, Indiana PacersIm building around George today, not only because hes been pretty great since returning to the court from an ankle sprain, but because the position doesnt inspire me tonight. George provides a high floor and plenty of upside in a matchup with Charlottes third-best SF matchup in fantasy points allowed. Furthermore, this is a game that Vegas likes to be relatively high-scoring and quite close (Pacers minus-2). George allows you to still spend up for Harrden or Cousins while not resorting to the depths of the depth charts tonight.ddddddddddddPlayers to fadeJoe Kaiser -- Sean Kilpatrick, Brooklyn NetsThe return of Jeremy Lin after a lengthy absence due to a hamstring injury will have a bigger impact on Isaiah Whitehead than it will Kilpatrick, but Kilpatricks playing time, usage and shot attempts are all expected to dip with Lin in the lineup. Kilpatricks surprising start to the season has caused his salary to rise into the mid $5,000s on both DraftKings and FanDuel, and for that price, Im looking at other safer options on Monday.Kyle Soppe -- DeMarcus Cousins, Sacramento KingsI Love me some Boogie and have exposure to him all over the place in annual leagues, but not tonight in DFS. He is roughly 10 percent (depending on the site in which you play) more expensive than any other non-Harden player on this slate, and Im just not willing to pay that price. Yeah yeah yeah, the matchup with the Lakers is a strong one, but thats baked into the price, so its not like youre tricking the DFS community. Coming into this season, Boogie had never made more than one-third of his 3-pointers for a season ... and the dude has attempted at least six triples in five of his last six games. Im not saying he cant have a monster day in this spot, but he has battled foul trouble at times, is settling on the offensive end (also evident by his sporadic FTA totals), and the turnovers might be the most consistent part of his game. There will be plenty of nights to fit his versatile skill set into your lineup -- tonight is not one of those nights for me.Renee Miller -- Damian Lillard, Portland Trail BlazersThere are ample options at PG tonight from superstars to potentially valuable scrubs, so I dont feel the need to risk a substantial portion of my salary cap on Lillard, who faces one of the toughest tasks against CP3. Give me Paul for the same money, in fact! In two meetings this season, Lillard is averaging about 12 fantasy points below his season average versus the Clippers. ' ' '
