The Latest on Week 13 of the NFL season: (all times Eastern):---10:30 p.m.Seattle Seahawks safety Earl Thomas is out after suffering a fractured lower left leg in the first half of Sundays game against Carolina.Pete Carroll told NBCs Sunday Night Football that Thomas suffered a cracked tibia in a collision with teammate Kam Chancellor.Thomas was injured early in the second quarter when he collided with Chancellor as both went after a pass from Carolina quarterback Cam Newton.Thomas tweeted from the Seahawks locker room late in the first half This game has been so good to me no regrets. A lot is running through my mind including retirement thanks for all the prayers.NBC also reported that Newtons benching at the beginning of the game was due to a dress code violation. Newton was on the sideline for the first play of the game. He was eventually loaded on the cart and taken for further examination.On the next play after Thomas was hurt, Newton hit Ted Ginn Jr. on a 55-yard touchdown to pull Carolina within 10-7. Seattle answered on its next possession with Thomas Rawls going 45 yards to push the lead back to 17-7.Thomas missed the first game of his career last week against Tampa Bay because of a hamstring injury.---Tim Booth reporting from Seattle.---8:45 p.m.Carolina quarterback Cam Newton was held out for the first series of Sunday nights game against Seattle.It nearly became a disastrous beginning for the Panthers. Derek Anderson took the first offensive snap for Carolina with Newton standing on the sideline.Andersons pass bounced off Mike Tolberts hands and was intercepted by Seattles Mike Morgan. Morgan returned the pick to the Carolina 8, but the Panthers were able to hold Seattle to a 23-yard field goal from Steve Hauschka.Newton was in on Carolinas next offensive possession. The team said it was a coachs decision as to why Anderson took the first snap of the game.---Tim Booth reporting from Seattle---7:29 p.m.Dallas is the first NFL team to clinch a playoff berth.The Cowboys qualified for the postseason with Washingtons loss to Arizona Sunday.Dallas has won 11 consecutive games, tying the overall franchise record streak that bridged the 1968 and 1969 seasons. The Cowboys are led by a pair of rookie sensations in Dak Prescott, who replaced injured quarterback Tony Romo in the preseason, and NFL rushing leader Ezekiel Elliott, the fourth overall pick in the draft.The Cowboys are coming off a win over Minnesota on Thursday and getting ready to face the New York Giants, the NFC East rival that handed them their only loss. Berry stepped in front of the pass and returned it for a conversion that instead gave the Chiefs the lead -- with the ball.Kansas City merely had to pick up enough first downs to run out the clock.---3:30 p.m.The Texans and Packers are slipping and sliding all over snowy Lambeau Field.Light to moderate snow has fallen all afternoon in a low-scoring game. He did not come out for the start of the second half.Tom Compton has replaced Matthews at left tackle. The Falcons say Matthews wont return.- Charles Odum reporting from Atlanta---3 p.m.Atlantas Matt Bryant finished off the first half against Kansas City with the second-longest field goal of his career -- then the Chiefs answer with a touchdown on a faked punt to start the second.On the field goal, the Chiefs werent sure the 41-year-old Bryant had the leg to boot it that far, so they sent wide receiver Tyreek Hill into the back of the end zone for a possible return.But Bryant cleared the crossbar with several yards to spare, cutting Kansas Citys lead to 20-16 at the half. It was also his third that resulted in an interception.Robinson bobbled a deep pass from Blake Bortles down the left sideline, and it landed in Chris Harris Jr.s hands for Bortles 14th interception of the season. Robinson, a Pro Bowl pick last season, also bobbled passes that ended up as picks against Chicago and Oakland earlier this season.- Mark Long reporting from Jacksonville, Florida---1:35 p.m.The Green Bay Packers have taken another hit at the linebacker position after Nick Perry left the game with the Houston Texans early with a hand injury. His return was questionable.Perry leads the team with eight sacks. After they had their point-after blocked, the Falcons answered with a drive that ended inside the 5-year line.The field goal gave the Falcons a 10-6 lead, though there is likely to be plenty more scoring.---1:15 p.m. ETIts beginning to look a lot like December in the NFC North.It was cold and snowy when the Chicago Bears kicked off to the San Francisco 49ers, and the Green Bay Packers had similar weather for their matchup with the Houston Texans.
